RESPONSIBILITY

PRAWN takes responsibility for everything the brand creates. The design philosophy is based on creating pieces that are striking and fun, but last beyond fast trends. PRAWN doesn't follow seasons, it produces in small batches and sources locally wherever possible to reduce the impact of shipping as well as to support local businesses.

PRAWN uses high quality materials to prolong the duration of its jewellery pieces and makes products that will be loved and reused. Most pieces are made from recycled 925 sterling silver. The brand works with this metal for its quality, durability and environmental impact. The goal is to only work with recycled metals. PRAWN sources its materials from members of LBMA*, RJC**, SCS*** and SMETA**** to ensure product quality, good environmental and ethical behavior. The brand is registered with the Danish Assay Office. Nickel is not added to any precious metals and all jewellery is made to EU Directive guidelines. PRAWN's freshwater pearls are of the highest quality, and it is the aim to provide detailed care information to protect the endurance of all products.

As a webshop, packaging is a challenge. Products need to be packed securely, the brand would like to treat its customers to a great experience and it wants to take care of the environment. PRAWN's take on the challenge is to make packaging that its customers will love, keep or reuse. Locally sourced FSC-certified (Forestry Stewardship Council) postal and jewellery boxes are made of thick cardboard with metallic print and velvet insert together with fancy tissue paper because boxes made to last make for the best experience.

PRAWN places relationships at the heart of everything it does. The brand values longstanding relations with everyone involved in the production of its collections and artistic collaborations as well as with customers. PRAWN believes in humanity and see kindness and respect as part of building a more sustainable future for the generations to come. The founders of the brand care deeply about supporting diversity and inclusion and see it as their mission to challenge prejudice and help break down boundaries and outdated stereotypes related to ethnicity, race, body, age, gender and mental health. All jewellery pieces are unisex and gender-neutral - meaning that it is for everyone and can be worn by anyone.
